If you’re looking for muffled, punchy and absolutely dead – yet unmistakably alive – drum sounds, this EZX for EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3 delivers exactly that.

Featuring four carefully curated kits, the Dry EZX spans a wide sonic range – from earthy and warm to snappy and slightly pingy. Recorded in a small, low-ceiling room with thick drapes lining the walls, ambience was stripped down to an absolute minimum. The result is a collection of viscerally tight kits that sound as if you’re right there in the room – inches from the drums.

One standout feature is that for selected kits, two drummers were seated opposite each other, striking their own kick, snare, toms, and hi-hats simultaneously across every velocity layer. The natural flams and organic imperfections this resulted in add a rich, layered sound – perfect for punching up your grooves with subtle, but extra variation.

In addition to the drums, a collection of mix-ready presets for each kit as well as a library of basic, backbeat-centric grooves are provided, allowing you to hit the ground running on the way to your next song.
